Ecuador, Wild Water Discovery 9 Days Class III - IV
Day 1
Flights usually arrive at night, so very often we help you with all the logistics to make your arrival more pleasant. We pick you up from the airport and transfer you to a hotel located near the Quito airport or if you prefer, we transfer you directly to the base of Baeza.
Day 2
Breakfast is served at 8am, in the case of having spent the night in Quito we will travel to Baeza. There we will arrange rooms, have lunch, set up the kayaks, and begin to enjoy the trip with a warm up in the Quijos River.
Day 3-4-5
Breakfast is served at 8am, we will start paddling in the Quijos valley and later go down to the Amazonian jungle and enjoy the tropical rivers.
If you wish to take a free day to rest or visit the jungle, we can recommend some options; in the case of choosing any of the optional activities the cost will be separate from the trip price.
Day 6-7
Breakfast is served at 8am, in the valley we’ll need all the tropical climate equipment, we’ll start enjoying the rivers from the watershed of the Amazon river, covered in vegetation and with beautiful round stones.
In the case that you’d like to repeat one of the rivers, we will focus on water reading, technical rivers clinic, and playing.
Day 8
On this day we can choose one of our favorite rivers on the return route to Baeza, prior to verifying the water levels in the two valleys.
We will prepare all the equipment for our last day, have a farewell dinner, and rest up.
Day 9
On the last day we will run a short section of Quijos, have lunch, pack up and head towards Quito, but in case of water levels too high for the intermittent climate, we will need to have a plan B, which would be to visit the Papallacta hot springs, one of Ecuador’s most enchanting and relaxing places.
Finally, we will take you to the airport or your reserved hotel.
